We are now looking for a Recruiting Team Lead to join our global HR Marketing & Recruiting team at RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) on a permanent basis. The role shall be ideally based in our headquarters in Essen (Germany).

This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiting expert to work within our international leading energy trading house which is expanding both in Europe and across the globe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing new routes to market coupled with the ambition to drive the overall recruitment strategy for RWEST. You will play a leading role in developing and implementing a business-wide recruiting process, identifying creative and innovative ways that support the recruitment needs of the business and ensuring that RWEST is an employer of choice by developing partnerships in the various global communities. You will work hand in hand with the operational HR colleagues and HR Business Partners to ensure close alignment in terms of business goals whilst also building trusted relationships with hiring managers and other key stakeholders. As part of the HR Marketing team, you will effectively profit from the communication strategies that attract diverse talent to our business.

• Lead the recruitment team with a focus on overseeing the business’ overall recruiting and sourcing mission, vision and long-term strategy
• Develop, coordinate and deliver innovative sourcing strategies and procedures to ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience which increases the prospects of acquisition and retention of talent for the business
• Be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, strategically and operationally
• Facilitate the resourcing and selection process, involving the responsible Operational HR team members as required
• Provide direction and consultation to the business and the wider HR team on emerging trends and best practices that impact and influence acquisition and attraction within key talent segments and communicate effectively at all stages of the recruitment process with Operational HR and hiring managers
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the business, which will drive the ability to attract successful potential hires available in the market
• Develop and drive the analytical side of this role in terms of applicant tracking system, management reporting, recruiting metrics and vendor management
• Attend job fairs and other networking events as required

Your powerful skills

• Bachelor’s degree in an HR-related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent
• Several years of recruitment experience, preferably in a fast-paced international environment
• Demonstrated commitment to being seen as a true “talent expert” in both HR and within a business
• Expertise in various candidate sourcing strategies (e.g. web sourcing, networking, advertising and database searching)
• Experience in the use of recruitment databases
• Proficiency in various Windows programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Proficiency in English and German, verbal and written
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
• Strong level of self-drive and ‘can do’ attitude as well as ability to work independently
• Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills
• Proven collaborative, relationship management, networking and influencing skills, also across companies within RWE
• Desire to continuously improve and challenge the status quo
